Like other Invictus models, Capoforte vessels are designed by Christian Grande and constructed in the Aschenez shipyard in Roccelletta di Borgia, Italy.
Azimut’s S7 made its global debut at boot Düsseldorf. The S7 is part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht family, with a 20-30% reduction in fuel consumption relative to boats of a similar size and weight. The yacht is a collaboration between renowned designer Alberto Mancini and the creatives at Yachtique. The below video from vmarine provies a terrific tour of the Azimut S7.
Boater Term - Propulsion
Propulsion refers to the system that creates the force required for a boat to move forward through the water. An engine, whether an inboard or outboard motor, is the most common propulsion method today.
An inboard motor is installed inside the hull of the boat, controlling a propeller that generates the force to propel the boat forward. Inboard motors are typically found on larger boats, such as yachts, as they’re more powerful than outboard motors and offer more control and stability.
An outboard motor is mounted outside the hull on the transom, which is the cross-section of the stern (back) of the boat. Outboard motors can be removed from a boat for maintenance or storage. Outboard motors are used on smaller boats, such as fishing boats and inflatables, as they’re generally less expensive and easier to maintain.
Torqeedo Deep Blue 25 RL Electric Outboard Motor
Electric motors for boats can be either inboard or outboard, and are a propulsion system that relies on electricity from batteries or a fuel cell. Electric motors are becoming increasingly popular as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional gas or diesel-powered engines.
The wind is a form of propulsion that has been used by sailors for thousands of years. Paddles are actually the oldest form of propulsion for boats, with archaeological evidence indicating that paddles were used to transport humans 8,000+ years ago.
